About the data and their accuracy
- Official data by sector: these reflect the crime coefficient published by DGPMB (the Bucharest Police). They are official indices, not the raw number of offences.
- Real incidents: these are taken from official press releases and from the press, with a link to the source. They reflect the information from the cited source at the time of publication, and may contain errors or be updated later. They are not a complete official record of crime.
- Pilot incidents and prediction: the demonstration layer and the prediction model are illustrative and do not represent real events or certainties, respectively.
Presumption of innocence
The people involved in the events taken from sources are presumed innocent until a final court ruling. The platform does not publish data that identify individuals.
Responsible use, without stigma
The data must not be used to discriminate against, harass or stigmatise people, communities or areas, or to take automated decisions that affect individuals. The model is strictly place-based, in line with the AI Act.
Limitation of liability
ARSC makes reasonable efforts to keep the information correct, but does not guarantee that it is complete, accurate or up to date, and is not liable for decisions taken solely on the basis of the platform. In an emergency, call 112.
Intellectual property and corrections
