Go to the safety map. By default you see Bucharest's 6 sectors, coloured by their official risk level.
Type an address, a sector or an area (for example "Drumul Taberei") into the search bar and press Enter. The map centres on the location it finds.
Choose the incident categories, the sector and the period in the left-hand panel. The map updates instantly.
Set an area of interest on the Alerts page and receive notifications when there are relevant updates.
Search for the address or select the sector. The coloured dots are individual incidents (demonstration layer), and the coloured areas show the official risk level per sector.
Centre the map on your place (home, school, office) and define an area of interest so you only follow what happens nearby. The same area is used for alerts.
Zoom in, zoom out and move the map around. Switch between incident points and the density map to see either individual events or where risk is concentrated.
Select 7, 30 or 90 days, or one year, for the incident layer. For the official sector layer, choose the reference year (2020-2025) and follow how it changes.
Turn on "Density map" to see a heatmap of the areas where events cluster. Useful for spotting quickly where events are grouped.
Switch "Official sector data" (DGPMB coefficient, real; DGPMB is the Bucharest Police) and "Incidents" (demonstration) on and off independently. You can show them together or separately, as you need.
Click a point or a sector area. A card opens showing the type, the anonymised area, the period and the source. The exact address is never shown.
See which institutions supply the data and at which geographical levels. The pilot covers Bucharest, with official coefficients for all 6 sectors. The full list is on the Methodology page.
The civic reports layer (broken street lighting, abandoned areas, dangerous junctions) is part of Phase 1 of the pilot. Until then, you can tell us at [email protected].
See the number of incidents by category and sector in the side panel. The counters update according to the active filters.
Compare the risk level between sectors and follow the trend over the years. The full table of coefficients is on the Methodology page.
On the Alerts page you choose the area and the categories you care about. You receive notifications when there are updates relevant to you.
