This policy explains what personal data we process through the MAI SIGUR platform and how we protect them. The data controller is Asociația Română pentru Smart City (ARSC) (the Romanian Smart City Association), based in Voluntari, Ilfov, contact [email protected], tel. +40 31 425 42 63.
What data we collect
The platform is primarily informative. The only processing of personal data happens when you subscribe to safety alerts, when you voluntarily send us your name, email address, area of interest, the categories you chose and how often you want to be notified.
Simply browsing the site requires no account, and we collect no additional identifying data. See also the Cookie policy.
Purpose and legal basis
- Purpose: sending the safety alerts you asked for.
- Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time.
How long we keep the data
Subscription data are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. You can unsubscribe at any time from any alert email, or by writing to [email protected].
Who we disclose data to (processors)
- Netlify - hosting and processing of the alerts form.
- Mistral AI (EU) - AI processing of aggregated safety data; it does not process your subscription data.
- The map providers (OpenStreetMap) and the Nominatim search service may process your IP address when the map loads or when you run a search, respectively, as controllers in their own right.
We do not sell or rent personal data. We do not profile individual visitors. The data shown on the map are aggregated and anonymised (see Methodology).
Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability, and the right to withdraw your consent. You can exercise them by writing to [email protected]. You have the right to lodge a complaint with ANSPDCP (Autoritatea Națională de Supraveghere a Prelucrării Datelor cu Caracter Personal, Romania's data protection authority), dataprotection.ro.
Data security: we apply reasonable technical and organisational measures (encrypted HTTPS transmission, data minimisation, processing within the EU) in line with the GDPR.
