ARSC wants MAI SIGUR to be usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. We are committed to meeting the WCAG 2.1 level AA standard, in line with Directive (EU) 2016/2102 and Legea 232/2022 (Romania's Law 232/2022 on the accessibility of public sector websites).
Measures in place
- Semantic structure, a lang attribute matching the page language and labels for interactive elements.
- A "Skip to content" link for fast keyboard navigation.
- Full keyboard navigation for menus, toggles, filters and the FAQ.
- Visible focus indicators and colour contrast following the AA thresholds.
- Support for the prefers-reduced-motion preference: animations (including the pulsing prediction) are reduced automatically.
- A non-map alternative: the Cases page lists all real incidents in an accessible table, with sources and export.
Known limitations
By its nature, the interactive map is hard to use with assistive technologies alone. For these situations we offer the table alternative on the Cases page, which contains the same data.
